The property
Tucked down a winding dirt road away from the busy centre of Anuradhapura lies a minimalist bungalow surrounded by greenery, teeming with birds and small wildlife.
Tissa Wewa, an enormous water reserve built by an ancient king, glints in the distance. Beyond the water, three of Anuradhapura\'s historic stupas — Ruwanweliseya, Mirisavatiya and Jethavanaramaya — stand like aged sentinels.
The bungalow
Welcome to Water\'s Edge — a 3-bedroom bungalow for those who seek closeness with nature and history. The common areas are open to the elements, blurring the lines between nature and structure.
Expect squirrels in the rafters, monkeys leaping through the garden trees, and eagles swooping low across the lake.
The experience
This is a place where noise fades, time stretches and nature takes over. Spend the days exploring ancient monasteries, bird watching on the Tissa Wewa bund, or simply reading on the verandah.
Our staff will cook you local meals and help make your stay as restful and memorable as possible.
Before you arrive
Book the whole property
When you stay with us, the bungalow and its surrounds becomes yours to enjoy for however many nights you decide. Any bedrooms not in use will be locked during your stay.

The bungalow can only be booked for a minimum of 2 nights.
Pricing & meals
Pricing is based on the number of guests and the meals you choose. Breakfast is included free of charge. Half board (dinner) and full board (lunch and dinner) are available for an additional charge.
Rooms
Relax in airy, tastefully decorated bedrooms with king-sized beds and mosquito nets. We also have one triple room with a separate single bed. All rooms come with air conditioning and en-suite bathrooms.
Grounds
Our expansive forest garden has been planted, grown and lovingly pruned by the owners to keep it as wild as possible. The three historic stupas and Tissa Wewa can be seen from the bungalow verandah.
Family-run
The bungalow is a family-run business and operates simply and efficiently. We have two staff members, Mangala and Keerthi, who look after our guests with care.

The ancient city of Anuradhapura is a quick tuk tuk ride away, and boasts many historic and sacred sites. We recommend the Abhayagiri and Jethavanaramaya complexes in particular.
